Rewind: Swipe Photo Cleaner · Last updated: August 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Rewind: Swipe Photo Cleaner (the “App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the App on your iOS device. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

The short version: your photos and videos never leave your device. The App reads your photo library locally to let you review and delete media. We do not upload, store, or transmit your media to our servers or to anyone else.

1. Access to your photo library

The core function of the App is to help you review and clean up your camera roll. To do that, the App requests permission to access your photo library through Apple’s standard iOS permission prompts:

All processing — grouping, categorization, duplicate and similar-photo detection, and thumbnail generation — happens entirely on your device. Your media is never uploaded to us or to any third party. You can revoke photo access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos; the App’s core features will stop working without it.

Deleted items go to the system Recently Deleted album under iOS rules and can be recovered there for the period Apple allows. We have no ability to recover deleted media for you.

2. Information we do process

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or postal address unless you contact us voluntarily. The App may process the following limited information:

CategoryExamplesPurpose
On-device settings Onboarding state, selected categories, review progress, items you marked as kept or highlighted To remember your preferences between launches. Stored locally on the device only.
Purchase data Subscription status, product identifier, transaction identifier, receipt validation results To unlock premium features and to restore your purchases. Handled by Apple and our subscription provider.
Usage and diagnostic data Anonymous events such as app opened, session completed, number of items reviewed, paywall shown, purchase completed; device model, OS version, language, country, crash information To understand how the App is used, fix bugs, and improve features.
Identifiers A random app-generated installation identifier, Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) where permitted Analytics, attribution, and — where applicable — advertising. See sections 4 and 5.

Analytics events describe actions and counts (for example, “42 items reviewed”), never the content of your photos or videos.

3. Third-party services

The App may use the following third-party services, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

None of these services receives your photos or videos. They receive only the limited usage, device, purchase, and identifier data described in section 2.

4. Tracking and the App Tracking Transparency prompt

If the App asks for permission to track you (Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt), that permission controls whether the IDFA can be used to measure advertising and to show you more relevant ads. If you decline, the App continues to work normally and the IDFA is not used. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

5. Advertising

Where the App shows advertising, ads may be delivered by the ad networks listed above. In regions that require it (for example the EEA and the UK), you will be shown a consent screen where you can accept or refuse personalized advertising; you can reopen it from the App’s settings. Refusing personalized ads does not remove ads, but makes them non-personalized. Premium subscribers may see fewer or no ads depending on their plan.

6. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK)

7. Data retention

Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Analytics and attribution data held by our service providers is retained according to their standard retention periods, generally no longer than needed for the purposes above. Purchase records are retained by Apple and our subscription provider as required for billing and tax purposes.

8. International transfers

Our service providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California residents may additionally request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and may opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@flashsoftapps.com. Because the App does not use accounts, we may need additional information (such as your device installation identifier) to locate any data associated with you. You can also delete all locally stored App data at any time by uninstalling the App.

10. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

Your media stays on your device and is protected by iOS’s own security model, including device encryption. Data sent to our service providers is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated in the App or through the App Store listing. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
